РЕЗЮМЕ. Создание в конце 80-х годов прошлого века такого научно-практического направления в медицине России, как медицина катастроф, в определенной степени связано с деятельностью НИИ СП им. Н.В. Склифосовского. Эта статья посвящена основным событиям, связанным с ликвидацией медицинских последствий чрезвычайных ситуаций, в которых принимали участие сотрудники института. 

ABSTRACT. The creation of such theoretical and practical field of medicine as disaster Medicine in Russia in the late 80-ies was substantially associated with the activities of the Sklifosovsky Research Institute for Emergency Medicine. This article focuses on the major efforts of the Sklifosovsky Institute staff in the medical response activities during emergencies.
